Education - Masterplanning

Bryant Alsop have been engaged by the VSBA to undertake a comprehensive master plan of the New Gisborne PS as part of the $3.1m announced in the 2019-20 state budget.

As a follow on from our work with the school to build their new Art Room, this project will set the framework for future development on the school grounds for the next 20 years providing a 21st century learning and play environment for students.

Stage 1 works as part of this project was completed in December 2020 and comprised:

• Redevelopment of the oval and outdoor play areas with all-weather artificial grass.

Stage 2 works are commencing in January 2021 and due to be completed in July 2021 including:

• Redesign and opening up of the Foundation courtyard on Ferrier Road - a key social hub for the parent community;

• Redevelopment of the street interface along Ferrier and Station Road; and

• Maintenance works to improve acoustics and lighting in teaching spaces; and site upgrades of services.
