Bryant Alsop were appointed by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development as Project Managers to deliver a new Special Development School in Wodonga across 2 stages - Stage 1 ($4.5m) with Stage 2 ($5.0)
The school represents a fantastic new facility for the Belvoir school community and comprises five buildings – Administration, Multi-Purpose Centre, three Teaching Pods, central agora and sensory gardens, environmental zone and bike track, as well as all associated car parking, hard courts and landscaping.
As contract superintendents, we were responsible for all financial and program monitoring, reporting to the Program Managers and DEECD; resolution of construction queries on site, co-ordination of the project consultant team and management of all contract adjustments including variations and extensions of time. Bryant Alsop managed the design and integration of a significant landscaping package as well as the implementation of 2 relocatable buildings.
With the original design architects no longer operating, Bryant Alsop were conscious of ensuring the architectural integrity of the design was maintained, as well as ensuring the project was delivered on budget.
